Janet has been a popular live performer for many years. Initially a blues performer, Janet is also gaining recognition as a Jazz artist, her unique tone and husky vocals well suited for most jazz standards.
Janet has enjoyed many years of live performance in Sydney as well as regular return gigs along the NSW east coast, southern Queensland and rural NSW. She has performed at many of Australia’s leading blues and jazz festivals as well as representing the Sydney Blues Society at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tennessee.
In addition to her beloved jazz and blues, Janet has also added a repertoire of popular contemporary material, allowing greater flexibility for corporate bookings with a more diverse audience. From duo to five-piece band, jazz to juke box Janet's outfits provide a variety on entertainment for most musical tastes and age groups.
Along with her own projects, Janet has also performed with and recorded for local award winning blues artists such as Jan Preston and Kerrie Sweeney.
With a view to expanding her musical and professional horizons, Janet is currently studying for her Bachelor of Music degree at the Australian International conservatorium of Music in Sydney.
